Look, I’ve stayed in quite a few riads in Marrakech over the years, and Riad RK Suites & Spa on rue La Ksour is honestly one of those places that gets the balance just right. You know how some riads try too hard to be fancy and lose that authentic medina charm? This one doesn’t fall into that trap. The location is actually perfect if you want to be in the heart of things without dealing with the absolute chaos of the main tourist drags – you’re tucked away enough that you can sleep at night (trust me, this matters when you’re near Jemaa el-Fnaa), but still close enough to walk to everything that matters.

The building itself has that classic riad layout with the central courtyard, but they’ve clearly put some serious thought into the renovations. The rooms are what I’d call “thoughtfully modern” – you get the traditional Moroccan design elements without feeling like you’re sleeping in a museum exhibit. The spa is actually worth mentioning too, which surprised me because a lot of these smaller places just slap “spa” on their name and call it a day. Here, you can get a proper hammam experience without the tourist-trap pricing you’ll find at the bigger hotels. I mean, after a day of wandering through the souks and dodging motorcycles in those narrow alleyways, you’ll definitely appreciate having a place to properly unwind.

What really sets this place apart though is the staff – they actually know the neighborhood inside and out. When I asked about finding a good place for tagine that wasn’t aimed at tourists, they didn’t just point me toward the usual suspects. They gave me specific directions to this tiny place about a ten-minute walk away where locals actually eat. That kind of local knowledge is gold when you’re trying to experience the real Marrakech, not just the postcard version. The breakfast situation is solid too – they serve it in the courtyard, and honestly, starting your day with fresh orange juice and Moroccan pastries while planning your route through the medina is pretty much perfect. Just be prepared for the call to prayer at dawn if you’re a light sleeper, but that’s part of the medina experience wherever you stay. Overall, it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special without breaking the bank or sacrificing comfort.

  Loved the tranquil vibe. It's a place of peace. Loved the decor also. We arrived late the first evening and had no restaurant booked. The hotel was extremely accommodating when we asked for dinner even with such short notice.
  
  What could be improved: The breakfast was ok. Very bread/sweet heavy. We were give 1 boiled egg each on the first day which helped however the second day we were not given them & had to request. Although the rooms are beautiful, the lack of privacy in between the bathroom & bedroom areas is not ideal.

  The location close to the Medina was great. We (four young women) felt safe walking around, also at night. Even though the riad was so close the city center it was still quiet, a little oasis in the city! The rooftop was wonderful and the breakfast every morning was fantastic. We were in the family room, please note that this room is on the top floor next to the rooftop where breakfast is served. However, we were not disturbed by this as all the guests were quiet and respectful.

  What could be improved: It’s not on the main road, so u have to walk like less than 10mins dragging your luggages to the Riad via alleys, but there r lots of people so it was ok…
  Our room has separated toilet, so no water there…
  A pair of slippers would be nice to walk around the kinda cold floors at night…
  But overall it was a very nice stay!
