I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Romantic Retreat next to M avenue” on the booking site, I thought it sounded a bit too good to be true. But after spending three nights at this little gem tucked away in Hivernage, I’m actually kicking myself for not staying longer.

The location is what really got me. You know how most hotels either dump you in the middle of tourist chaos or stick you so far out you need a taxi for everything? Well, this place nails the sweet spot. Rue el Adarissa is this quiet residential street that feels properly Moroccan – you’ll hear the call to prayer in the morning and catch whiffs of tagines cooking from nearby homes – but you’re literally a five-minute walk from Avenue Mohammed VI where all the good restaurants are. I mean, I stumbled upon this incredible little café serving the best msemen I’ve ever had, just two blocks over. The Résidence Les Trois Palmiers complex itself is surprisingly peaceful too, which honestly surprised me given how close we were to the main drag.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to detail that you just don’t expect from a four-star. The staff – and I’m talking about everyone from the guy who helped with our bags to the woman who cleaned our room – seemed to genuinely care about making sure we had what we needed. Check-in was smooth (they actually remembered we’d mentioned it was our anniversary in the booking notes), and when we had trouble figuring out the AC remote, someone was up within minutes to help. The room itself had this lovely traditional Moroccan style without going overboard – you know, those places that lay it on so thick with the “authentic” decor that it feels like a theme park? This wasn’t that. Clean lines, beautiful tilework, and a balcony that caught the morning light perfectly. The bed was comfortable enough that we actually slept in a couple days, which never happens when we travel.

I will say the area can get a bit busy in the evenings – Hivernage is popular with locals too, especially on weekends – but that’s part of what makes it feel real rather than like some sanitized tourist bubble. Plus, if you’re the type who likes to walk around after dinner (and you should, because the neighborhood is gorgeous at night), you’ll feel completely safe. We wandered around until pretty late and never felt uncomfortable. The only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re driving, parking can be a bit tricky during peak times, but the hotel staff knows the area well and pointed us toward a couple reliable spots nearby. Honestly, for the price point and that perfect 10 rating, this place delivers exactly what it promises – a romantic, authentic Marrakech experience without the tourist trap nonsense.
