Roof top terrasse Centre-Gueliz JACUZZI Overview

You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Marrakech, but this rooftop spot in Gueliz actually caught me off guard. The name’s a bit of a mouthful – “Roof top terrasse Centre-Gueliz JACUZZI” – but honestly, it tells you everything you need to know. It’s right on Rue Mauritanie, which is perfect because you’re in the heart of Gueliz without being stuck in the tourist chaos of the medina.

The first thing that hits you when you get up to that terrace is the view. I mean, you can see the Atlas Mountains on a clear day, and there’s something about being above all the street noise that just makes you exhale. The jacuzzi situation is legit too – not one of those tiny hotel tubs that barely fits two people. They’ve got it positioned so you can soak and watch the sunset, which… well, let’s just say I ended up extending my stay. The whole setup feels more like a friend’s really nice apartment than a hotel, if that makes sense. There’s this relaxed vibe that’s hard to find in the busier parts of the city.

What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to create this oasis feeling while keeping you connected to actual Marrakech life. Gueliz is where locals go to shop and hang out – you’ve got Carrefour down the street, decent cafes that aren’t tourist traps, and you can walk to the medina in about fifteen minutes when you’re ready for that energy. The staff actually lives in the city (revolutionary concept, I know) so they’ll point you toward the good stuff. Parking can be a bit tricky around here, but it’s Morocco – you figure it out, and honestly, walking around Gueliz is part of the experience anyway.

The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works. Air conditioning is solid, which matters more than you’d think in Marrakech. WiFi actually functions, the water pressure is decent, and the beds are comfortable enough that you won’t wake up cranky. But let’s be real – you’re not coming here to hang out in your room. You’re here for that rooftop situation, and maybe to be in a neighborhood where you can grab a coffee without negotiating the price first. The 9.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s the kind of place that does what it promises without any weird surprises. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

Reviews of Roof top terrasse Centre-Gueliz JACUZZI

  • Highly recommend, beautiful apartment and great location. – Chloe from United Kingdom – 3 June 2025 (8/10)

The pictures do not do this property justice. It was a home away from home with beautiful interior touches. Directions from the host were not great on arrival (more because the residence were confusing us than the hosts information), but once we managed to get hold of the host, they met us at the property within 10 minutes and so kindly allowed us a 4 hour early check in. The property has a daily guard that sits by the entrance and when he leaves, the main entrance is locked (you are supplied a key), this added security made us feel safe.
The excess of toilet rolls, washing up equipment and bottled water were a great start to our holiday. You are literally a stones throw from shops, a supermarket, Starbucks, restaurants and a mall, so incredibly convenient location. The view wasn't great, but I didn't chose this spot to stare at city buildings anyway.
Some might not be willing, but we often walked in to the Old City (Medina) which is a slow paced 30 minute walk.
The property offers, plenty of storage, washing machine , gorgeous interior, magnificent large balcony, air con and bedroom electronic blinds that make you feel secure and a peaceful sleep. We felt so cosy and content in the property, especially during the scorching afternoon sun (which we tried to avoid).
After and during our stay the host was incredibly helpful and polite. Do ask them to meet you at the property at a certain time to avoid confusion, if like us you do not plan on paying for data roaming.

What could be improved: One of the balcony doors didn't lock at night but the apartment is on the 5th floor (there is a lift) so unlikely to be any wanderers on the balcony. Needless to say, we locked our bedroom door at night and closed the metal shutters to feel extra safe in a busy city.
The free WIFI doesn't stretch to the bedroom meaning both your phone and the tv will not work in there, which was a shame if like me you like a cuppa in bed when you are on a childfree holiday.
We didn't use the hot tub as it didn't look clean, had no cover and couldn't see or smell any use of cleaning equipment (chlorine) in it. I personally didn't want to risk it.
There were some small additives I would have liked, but that is likely me being boujee, these would be, supplying a small amount of milk to go with the tea and coffee that was kindly supplied, a clean tea towel, some kitchen roll and a clean washing up sponge and cloth.
We found the quilt supplied to be too thick, so we had to use just the duvet cover, but that was too thin when the air con was on, maybe an offer of a blanket or a summer quilt for us guests that are not used the gorgeous Moroccan heat. We didn't like the hard towels, but assume Marrakesh dont use tumble dryers in the 30 degree heat. Soon got used to it after a couple of uses. But these are down to personal preference I suppose. Would book this property again!

  • Exceptional – Nicola from United Kingdom – 13 May 2025 (10/10)

Self but the supermarket is really close and great. It has a great range of all types of fresh food and groceries and open late.

What could be improved: Crossing the roads are a bit tricky, but it is the same everywhere in Marrakech, advantage they are fixing the sidewalks.

  • Je suggère vivement – Kkhaidar from Morocco – 16 February 2025 (10/10)

Etablissement très bien placé au centre-ville de Marrakech, devant le carré Éden de service étaient très bien. Les employés sont très gentils.

  • Très positif, dû en grande partie à l’hébergement. – Bichon from France – 1 February 2025 (10/10)

La localisation géographique, les équipements, la propreté.
L’excellent accueil à notre arrivée tardive, vers minuit, très appréciable.

What could be improved: Rien à dire

  • Beautiful well located apartment. – Gary from United Kingdom – 20 January 2025 (7/10)

The accommodation is really well located, it was very clean and gorgeously laid out.

What could be improved: Our only issue was that the hot tub wasn't working when we were there, it wasn't really hot and you couldn't sit in it.

  • Very good – Majid from United Kingdom – 3 January 2025 (8/10)

    Good location, nice apartment.

What could be improved: The checkin staff asked for a large 'taxi' payment which was inappropriate.

  • A place to sya in Marrakech – Mohamed from Morocco – 23 November 2024 (10/10)

I like all of it it felt like home …

  • Parfait – Begdouri from Belgium – 18 November 2024 (10/10)

Emplacement, propreté, hôte pas envahissant néanmoins disponible. Une terrasse de rêves, Juste parfait .

  • Loved it – Haitham from Kuwait – 8 November 2024 (10/10)

The apartment is just simply elegant, luxurious and located at a very amazing area. The service providers are amazing and very professional and helpful with all your needs. My stay was just perfect. I was in contact with sahar who made sure that all my requirements are met and ready and literally god bless her for the amazing service.

What could be improved: Nothing at all.
