My third-floor room had this little balcony where I’d sit with mint tea in the mornings, watching the water catch the light while the city slowly woke up around me. The building itself feels more like a modern apartment complex than a traditional hotel – which some people might find weird, but I loved how it blended into the neighborhood. You’ll hear the call to prayer from nearby mosques (beautiful, honestly), and there’s this bakery about a five-minute walk away where locals line up for fresh bread. The hotel staff actually told me about it, which tells you something about how they operate.

Here’s the thing about staying in Secteur 020219 – it sounds intimidating with all those numbers, but you’re really well-positioned. The main roads are close enough that getting taxis to the medina or Gueliz is no problem, but you’re far enough out that you can actually sleep at night without street noise. I stayed during shoulder season in October, and the place was maybe half full, which meant the pool area felt like my own private retreat most afternoons. The rooms are clean and modern – not fancy in a flashy way, but everything works properly, which honestly is more than I can say for some five-star places I’ve stayed at in Morocco. The AC was quiet, the shower had good pressure, and the WiFi actually reached the bed (small victories, right?). Check-in was smooth, though the front desk closes overnight, so don’t plan on rolling in at 3 AM without calling ahead. One small thing – parking can be a bit tight if you’re renting a car, but most people won’t need to worry about that since you’re better off using taxis or the bus system anyway. What really sold me was how the staff treated the place like they cared about it – they knew the neighborhood, gave solid restaurant recommendations that weren’t just tourist traps, and seemed genuinely interested in making sure guests had a good experience. That 9.2 rating? Yeah, I get it.

  Our host Abdul was amazing. Very attentive and ensured our needs were ment. He helped arrange taxi service, day trips and recommended restaurants to visit. The kids and I had so much fun. We did something to do everyday. Abdul also checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. He was a message away at all times..

  What could be improved: The towels were clean but were old and dinged. I got to the hotel late, almost midnight. The owner said I had to pay for his cab ride to his house. That didn't seem impressive. There was no sofa bed, just the sofa that they called bed.
