Ryad Nayla Overview
You know what struck me first about Ryad Nayla? The moment you step through that heavy wooden door on Qaria assyahia, you’re suddenly in this completely different world – and I mean that in the best way possible. The contrast is honestly pretty dramatic, going from the bustling energy of that neighborhood (which, let’s be real, can get pretty intense with all the moped traffic) to this peaceful riad courtyard where you can actually hear yourself think.
The location is actually perfect if you know Marrakech at all. You’re in the medina proper, so you get that authentic old-city vibe, but you’re not stuck right in the middle of the tourist chaos around Jemaa el-Fnaa. I could walk to the main square in about fifteen minutes, but when I wanted to escape the crowds, I just ducked back to the riad and felt like I had my own little sanctuary. The staff – and this is important – they actually know the area. Like, really know it. They steered me toward this tiny bakery about three streets over that I never would’ve found otherwise, and honestly, it ended up being one of my favorite discoveries of the trip.
What I loved most was how the place feels genuinely Moroccan without being, well, touristy-fake-Moroccan if that makes sense. The tilework is beautiful (clearly authentic, not that mass-produced stuff you see in some places), and the central courtyard has this fountain that’s actually soothing, not annoyingly loud. The rooms are a good size too – I’ve stayed in riads where you can barely open your suitcase, but here you’ve got proper space to spread out. The bed was comfortable, though I’ll be honest, if you’re super sensitive to street noise, bring earplugs. It’s not bad, but you’ll hear some early morning activity from the neighborhood – mostly just life happening, which I actually found kind of charming after the first night.
The 8.4 rating makes complete sense to me. It’s not perfect – the wifi can be spotty in some rooms, and the hot water takes a minute to get going – but these are minor things when you’re getting this level of authenticity and comfort. The breakfast spread is solid (that fresh bread, seriously), and they’ll arrange pretty much anything you need, from airport transfers to day trips. I ended up extending my stay by two nights because I just didn’t want to leave that peaceful courtyard behind. Plus, and this is practical stuff that matters, they have a small parking area if you’re brave enough to drive in Marrakech, and the check-in process was smooth even though I arrived way earlier than expected. For a four-star riad in this part of the medina, honestly, you’re getting excellent value and a genuinely local experience without sacrificing comfort.

Reviews of Ryad Nayla
Very good accommodation, great value – Louise from United Kingdom – 5 June 2025 (9/10)
Good location, very spacious.
Spacious accommodation, not far from medina – Alžbeta from Slovakia – 5 March 2025 (10/10)
The accommodation is incredibly spacious, essentially a whole house with three bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and a cozy living room on the ground floor. It has also lovely rooftop terrace with a seating area. The accommodation is located in the complex with a reception, small shops and cafes and easy parking on the street inside the complex. The medina is just a 20-minute walk away through the Bab Kechich gate.
What could be improved: The washing machine had some residue from washing powder, and we encountered some difficulty getting it to start. However, we managed to figure it out, and it worked fine in the end.Satisfied in this apartment – Gina from Netherlands – 21 February 2025 (10/10)
The apartment was very big, clean. You can used everything in the house. There is a supermarket in the neighborehood, and some restaurants. Importantly airport is not so far. Near Medina and Souq and some other tourist places. Brahim is like the caretaker of the tenant or tourist stays in this apartment. He is such a nice person,he can arrange everything to the tenant. Asking us everytime if everything is okay.
What could be improved: Since its a little cold when we came. The house was also cold. Maybe if you could add portable heater in every room. 😊 But so far we dont have any problem. We enjoyed our stay here.Nice place for big families or friends – Fabio from United Kingdom – 5 February 2025 (8/10)

Location is good. Exceptional staff!
What could be improved: Basic toiletries should be in the bathrooms like soap. What we got was what has lef after previous guests. Also one toilet rol for one week is also not enough.
General cleanliness wasn't really great.
There was no space in the wardrobes as there was already some things inside.
The quality of bedding was really questionablegood location, 7 min taxi ride to main square. The Riad has 3 rooms with 3 bathrooms + another downstairs toilet. It’s a – Amit from United Kingdom – 19 February 2023 (8/10)

Secure and big appartment with free parking. Great location, only 10 min to Medina and 20min to Jemma el Fna to walk. Couple small shops and cafe few steps away.
Loads cats to feed and pet – my child loved that.
What could be improved: The house is tired, not well cleaned. The toilet in bathroom was loose and not stable. There was no kettle.
Same detergent filled into soap / shower gel and dishes washing up containers.
