Stars Hotel & Spa Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Stars Hotel & Spa? The way it just sits there quietly at the corner of Rue Sebou and Rue Ouadi Naffis, not trying to compete with the flashier places but somehow feeling more… authentic. I mean, you’re still in Guéliz – the French quarter where you can actually walk around without dodging motorbikes every five seconds – but this place has this understated confidence that I really appreciated.
The spa part isn’t just marketing fluff, either. They’ve got this hammam that honestly rivals some of the fancier riads I’ve been to, and the massage therapists actually know what they’re doing (trust me, I’ve had some questionable experiences in Marrakech). The whole place has this clean, modern vibe without feeling sterile – there’s still enough Moroccan character in the details to remind you where you are. The rooms are solid, nothing groundbreaking but comfortable beds and decent air conditioning, which matters more than you’d think when you’re dealing with those summer temperatures. I actually slept well, which is saying something because I’m usually kept awake by the call to prayer or street noise, but this corner is surprisingly quiet for Guéliz.
What I really liked was how the staff seemed to get that balance between helpful and not hovering. They’ll arrange your taxi to the medina without trying to upsell you on some overpriced tour, and they actually gave me decent restaurant recommendations – places locals eat, not just tourist traps. The breakfast is pretty good too, though nothing revolutionary. One thing worth mentioning is that you’re maybe a ten-minute walk from Avenue Mohammed V, where all the decent cafés and shops are, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise. Parking was easy enough when I had a rental car, which is genuinely rare in this city. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind or show up in architecture magazines, but sometimes you just want a place that works well without any drama. The 8.6 rating makes sense – it’s the kind of place that consistently does what it says it’ll do, and in Marrakech, that’s actually pretty valuable.

Reviews of Stars Hotel & Spa
Exceptional – Sven from Brazil – 25 June 2025 (10/10)
What could be improved: Great location, nice rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommendable! Will come back
Fantastic – Sharaf from France – 23 June 2025 (10/10)
I liked the warm welcome from the very beginning, everything was crystal clear regarding the differents services. The reception was 24/7 friendly and keen to assist for anything I needed. The breakfast was very well cooked, tasty and diverse. The restaurant serves both traditional moroccan as well as other cuisines, and I didn't even need to move for another restaurant since everything was perfect there. The SPA, massage and hammam staff was really convenient and the services are given by highly ranked professionals. The cleaning staff was perfect too! They also have a car parking service that helps you find a good spot which is quite an effort in Marrakesh, so this service is a big bonus!
I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back!
What could be improved: Absolutely nothing!Exceptional – Jorge from Portugal – 31 May 2025 (10/10)
The breakfast was quite good, the staff were always available to help and very sympathetic. The hotel also has a spa facility and the rooms are large. We checked in at 1 am and had no problems doing so. Easy recommendation if your staying in Marrakesh. The lobby and the restaurant are also very nice with live traditional music throughout the day.
It was an altogether beautiful experience – Mojisola from United Kingdom – 17 May 2025 (10/10)
It was an Ideal location, 15 to 17 minutes from the RAK Ménara airport, close to the medina Medina, Marrakesh Mall and so on. The staff were absolutely fantastic, they were always ready to help and they speak good English. The restaurant in the hotel (Pensee) served good food and the staff at the spa were, ahh.. simply the best.
