Stay with low budget Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Stay with low budget,” I wasn’t expecting much. But you know what? This place in the Lotissement Zerktouni area actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked away in Mhamid, which is perfect if you want to experience Marrakech without being right in the chaos of the medina every single second. The neighborhood has this authentic residential feel – you’ll hear the call to prayer from nearby mosques and catch glimpses of daily Moroccan life that tourists usually miss.
The hotel itself punches way above its weight class. I mean, a 9.1 rating doesn’t just happen by accident, right? The staff here actually remembers your name after the first day, and they’re genuinely helpful with directions (not just the rehearsed tourist trap recommendations). The rooms are clean and comfortable – nothing fancy, but everything works, which honestly can’t be said for every place in Marrakech. What really got me was the attention to small details: proper blackout curtains (crucial for those early morning calls to prayer), decent water pressure, and air conditioning that actually keeps up with the Moroccan heat. The Wi-Fi is surprisingly solid too, which was a relief since I needed to work a bit during my stay.
Here’s the thing about this location – it’s maybe a 10-minute taxi ride to Jemaa el-Fnaa, but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night without street noise keeping you up. The area has some great local spots for tagine that won’t cost you tourist prices, and there’s a little café down the street where you can grab proper Moroccan coffee and pastries for breakfast if you want to venture beyond the hotel. Parking isn’t a nightmare here either, which matters if you’re planning to rent a car for day trips to the Atlas Mountains or Essaouira. I stayed here during shoulder season in April, and it was perfectly quiet in the evenings but still had that warm, welcoming atmosphere during the day. The front desk helped me arrange a driver for a day trip to Ait Benhaddou at a fair price – none of that inflated tourist markup you get at the fancier places. Sometimes the best finds are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you with marble lobbies and overpriced cocktails, you know?

Warm welcome and smooth late-night check-in
The host was incredibly welcoming! Our flight was delayed, and we arrived just after midnight for an overnight stay. Despite the late hour, the owner greeted us warmly and provided all the information we needed. The accommodation is decorated in traditional Moroccan style, which adds to the experience. Communication through WhatsApp was quick and easy. Overall, a pleasant and smooth stay — thank you!Close to the airport – Eileen from Germany – 31 May 2025 (10/10)
Top accommodation if you’d like to be close to the airport! We arrived in the middle of the night (2am) and it was not a problem. Everything was super clean, bed was very comfortable and shower was great! We walked to the accommodation (approx. 15-20min) after our arrival and if you don’t mind 20 dogs accompanying you, it felt safe to do so!
Good Value stay near Airport. – Bugsy from United Kingdom – 30 May 2025 (10/10)
Mohammed is a great petson with a good personality and character.
He will gp out of his way if you have any issues with your stay or anything else. He helped me out with some last minute disruption from my airline and printed me out new boarding passes. Thank You Mohammed it was a please and I loved the breakfast and your moroccan tea was exceptional.Walkable to the airport – Dominika from Poland – 27 May 2025 (10/10)
Simply great! I had to walk to the airport at 4 am so it was ideal (15 min walk). The place is huge (we were 2 people). Beautiful and comfortable. In a quiet area a bit further from medina (you need to walk and take a bus or order a taxi). But if you go on a tours they will pick you up 🙂

Great accomodation in a quiet and comfortable district of Marrakech at a stone's throw from the airport. Really 5 minute by car. Mohammed's house is really big and traditional. You feel like home.

A nice quiet place in an excellent location near the airport, the owner is very helpful and hospitable, it's hard to imagine a more pleasant stay. Highly recommend.
Comfortable stay close to the airport with friendly helpful host. – Janet from United Kingdom – 1 February 2025 (8/10)
This is a large apartment on first floor (no lift) with 2 seating areas, not the most comfortable to sit upright but good to lounge on. 2 comfortable bedrooms & shower room. The kitchen is upstairs next to the roof terrace, it appeared to be well stocked family kitchen. We didn’t use it as we’d ordered a meal from the hosts, who live downstairs. Available on request, €15 each for a beef & veg tagine, plus bread & water. Breakfast was also brought up to our dining area, on being asked if we required anything else , we asked for yogurt & orange juice, both appeared promptly along with pain au chocolate, I’m sure Ahmed had been out to buy them. No extra charge either. He also took us to the airport which is 10 mins away, €10. It made the end of our trip hassle free.
What could be improved: Nothing to dislike but best to get a taxi there & have the taxi driver phone the host. It’s in the middle of a modern Medina of many passageways! Even the taxi driver got a bit lost.
