You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment I walked onto that terrace and saw the pool stretching out below with the Atlas Mountains just sitting there in the distance like they own the place. I mean, sure, the name promises a panoramic pool view, but honestly – most hotel marketing shots are taken with a wide-angle lens at sunrise by a professional photographer. This actually delivers on what it promises, which is rarer than you’d think.

The apartment sits right on Boulevard du Moyen-Orient, and if you know Agdal at all, you’ll appreciate that this means you’re in the newer part of Marrakech where the streets actually make sense and you can grab a decent coffee without negotiating with ten carpet sellers first. Don’t get me wrong – I love the medina’s chaos, but after a few days, there’s something to be said for being able to walk to the Carrefour in flip-flops without planning a route. The building itself feels solid and well-maintained, which honestly surprised me a bit given some of the newer construction I’ve seen around Morocco. The elevator works (small victories), and the hallways don’t smell like tagine and humidity, which… well, if you’ve stayed in older riads, you know what I’m talking about.

What really sold me on the place was the little details that someone clearly thought through. The kitchen actually has sharp knives – I know that sounds ridiculous, but you’d be amazed how many vacation rentals expect you to chop vegetables with what amounts to a butter knife. There’s proper water pressure in the shower, the WiFi reaches every corner of the apartment, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine taking off. The furnishings walk that fine line between local character and actual comfort – you get some beautiful Moroccan touches without feeling like you’re sleeping in a museum display. The bed is firm enough that you won’t wake up with a backache, and the blackout curtains actually block out the morning sun, which is crucial when you’re trying to sleep off a late night in Gueliz. Pool access is straightforward – no weird hours or complicated key card systems – and the water’s consistently clean, which isn’t always a given. I’d say the only minor downside is that the walls aren’t super thick, so if your neighbors are having a party, you’ll probably hear it. But that’s pretty standard for apartments anywhere, really. The location puts you about fifteen minutes from Jemaa el-Fnaa if you’re feeling touristy, but close enough to the newer restaurants and bars that you don’t have to trek across the city every time you want a glass of wine with dinner.

  L appartement de Nawfal est totalement conforme aux photos, très propre et décoré avec beaucoup de goût. La résidence sécurisée et calme dispose d une très belle et grande piscine. Nawfal est un excellent hôte, accueillant, arrangeant, très disponible et qui saura vous conseiller les meilleurs adresses et bons plans de Marrakech. Je recommande vivement cet appartement où je n hésiterai pas à séjourner lors de ma prochaine visite !

  Host – Great communication with the host. Was in touch with us even before we arrived with directions, and throughout the stay.
  Location – This is a new apartment block in an area that is seeing rapid development. Having said that, there was no construction taking place during our visit, and the area was very peaceful and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the old city. Quite close to the airport (12 min drive) but we barely heard much air traffic noise.
  Apartment – Clean, modern apartment with rustic décor. Had modern amenities like washing machine and dishwasher. Funky lighting all around, and especially loved the automatic sun shades/shutters in each balcony! Air-conditioning available throughout the house, but we didn’t use it, as the temperatures were quite pleasant this time of the year.
  Bedrooms – Spacious bedrooms, with their own balcony. Beds were quite firm (if you’re used to medium-firm/softer beds) but this appears to be commonplace throughout Morocco (we stayed in 5 other cities and found firm/hard beds everywhere).
  Bathrooms – The en-suite was huge, with a bath and a great shower. Plenty of hot water whenever we needed to use the shower.
  Note – All dining areas are outside, in the balcony – there is no indoor eating table, if you’re looking to have a meal indoors.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing negative to mention.
