Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places in Marrakech, and TOP APPARTEMENT GUELIZ honestly surprised me in the best way possible. When you first pull up to the Résidence Jnane Atlas building on Rue Ibn Toummert, it doesn’t scream “luxury” from the street – but that’s actually part of what I loved about it. You’re getting this authentic Gueliz neighborhood experience without the tourist circus that comes with staying closer to the medina.

The location is what really sold me, though. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of modern Marrakech here – you can walk to Carré Eden shopping center in about five minutes, and there’s this fantastic little café (locals call it Café Central) just around the corner where you’ll actually hear more Arabic and French than English. The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel room, which I know sounds cliché, but hear me out. The kitchen is actually functional – not one of those tiny hotel kitchenettes where you can barely make coffee. I ended up cooking a few meals there because the local market on Avenue Mohammed V is just a quick stroll away, and honestly, the tomatoes there are incredible.

What struck me most was how quiet it gets at night, especially considering you’re in such a central spot. The building’s set back from the main road just enough that you don’t get the constant honking that can drive you crazy elsewhere in the city. The Wi-Fi actually works (crucial for me since I was working remotely), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine – small things that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. The 8.8 rating makes sense once you settle in; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything just… works. Check-in was smooth, parking wasn’t a nightmare like it can be in this area, and when I had a question about the best route to Essaouira, the host actually gave me tips that saved me about an hour of driving. You know what? If you’re the type who wants to experience Marrakech like you live there rather than just passing through, this is your spot.

  The property was exactly as described and it was clean and well organised.
  
  What could be improved: The location of the property was abit hard to find. The bathroom water couldn’t pass through the drainage and there was a bit of accident with water leaking inside the wardrobe where the boiler was.

  Excellent location within walking distance of Djmaa el Fna, Carré Eden shopping mall, train station etc. Great swimming pool on the roof. The apartment has a good layout with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Really enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony every morning listening to the birds…

  Lovely apartment in a nice block and quiet area.
  Was nice and clean and had all basic facilities required.
  
  What could be improved: We booked the apartment for a family – 3 people, however the kitchen was based on 2. There were 2 cups, 2 bowls, 2 glasses etc. which made it quite difficult to eat and drink – we had to share or wait for one to finish first.
  Also, it was difficult to cook because there was only 1 small saucepan.
  It would improve the rating of the apartment to stock a reasonable set of pans etc

  You can not beat the location, central yet quiet and safe. Very clean, well equipped kitchen, underground parking and to top it up a roof top swimming pool. We had a great time. Samir & Hasna were very helpful without being on our face, we thank you.

  The location is unbeatable, the apartment was spacious, well-equipped & perfectly clean. The balcony was a haven of tranquility where we enjoyed our breakfast every morning listening to birds singing. The icing on the cake was the swimming pool on the rooftop, also perfectly clean and well maintained.
