So I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Villa 103, I wasn’t entirely sure I was in the right place. The address in the Atlas Nakhil area isn’t exactly where you’d expect to find a luxury villa, and the lot numbering system there can be… well, let’s just say it’s very Marrakech. But once you spot that “103” marker and walk through the entrance, you realize you’ve actually stumbled onto something pretty special.

The private jacuzzi is definitely the star of the show here, and I mean that in the best way possible. It’s not one of those tiny hotel hot tubs that fit maybe two people uncomfortably – this thing is properly sized and positioned so you can actually watch the sunset over the Atlas Mountains while you’re soaking. The water temperature stays consistent too, which honestly surprised me given how many places in Morocco struggle with hot water reliability. The villa itself has that modern Moroccan aesthetic down pat – you know, clean lines mixed with traditional touches, but without going overboard on the brass lanterns and tadelakt walls that some places think foreigners expect. The bedroom is spacious enough that you’re not tripping over your suitcase, and the air conditioning actually works (trust me, in summer that’s not a given in this part of town).

What really sold me on this place though was the location – you’re far enough from the Medina madness to actually relax, but close enough that a petit taxi ride costs maybe 20-30 dirhams to get to Jemaa el-Fnaa. The Nakhil area is where a lot of locals actually live, so you get this authentic neighborhood vibe without the tourist markup on everything. There’s a decent café about a five-minute walk away where you can grab proper Moroccan breakfast, and the security in the area is solid – I never felt weird about leaving stuff in the villa. The 4-star rating feels about right honestly, maybe even a bit conservative. It’s not going to compete with La Mamounia or anything, but for what you’re paying, the quality is there. My only real gripe is that the check-in process can be a bit scattered – make sure you have WhatsApp working because that’s how they’ll coordinate meeting you with the keys. Oh, and if you’re planning to cook, the kitchen setup is pretty basic, but there’s a Carrefour about ten minutes away if you need supplies. The 8/10 rating makes sense to me – it delivers on what it promises, the jacuzzi is genuinely great, and you’ll sleep well. Just don’t expect concierge service or daily housekeeping.

  What could be improved: I didn't appreciate that the lessor laid when I asked whether or not the villa was overlooked. I explained that I wanted a complete intimacy and He confirmed the villa was not overlooked, which is absolutely false.
