The villa itself has this really nice balance of traditional Moroccan touches without feeling like you’re staying in a museum, you know? The tiles are gorgeous, the rooms are actually spacious (rare for the price point), and the kitchen is surprisingly well-equipped if you want to grab some ingredients from the local markets.

What really won me over, though, is the location. You’re about 10 minutes from the craziness of Jemaa el-Fnaa, which means you can easily get your fill of snake charmers and tagine, but then retreat to this quiet residential area where the only sounds at night are the call to prayer and maybe some distant traffic. The Route de Bab Atlas isn’t exactly a scenic drive, but it connects you to everything – the Majorelle Garden is a quick taxi ride, and if you’re brave enough to rent a scooter, you can zip into the medina in no time. I mean, the staff was helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations, though their English is pretty basic, so brush up on your French if you can. The property management is clearly trying hard – they’ve got that 4-star rating for a reason – but there are little things that remind you this isn’t a corporate hotel chain. The WiFi cuts out occasionally, the hot water takes a minute to kick in, and don’t expect 24-hour room service.

But here’s the thing – those minor quirks actually add to the charm. This feels like staying at a friend’s really nice house in Morocco, not some sterile resort. The 8.2 rating feels about right; it’s not perfect, but it delivers on what matters most. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioning works (crucial in summer), and that private pool situation is just unbeatable for the price. If you’re the type who needs everything to run like clockwork, maybe look elsewhere. But if you want an authentic Marrakech experience with some genuine luxury touches – and you don’t mind a little adventure in finding the place – Villa Atlas de Luxe is definitely worth considering. Just make sure to stock up on groceries your first day, because while there are cafés nearby, you’ll want to take advantage of having your own kitchen and that pool-side dining setup.

  Pool was okay
  
  What could be improved: Broken shower head, broken sunbed, broken light bulbs in multiple areas, warm fridge not cooling until next day, terrace furniture not setup and left in stairway and full of spiders. Random dirty loose fan motor left in the terrace.
  
  Metal rod coming out of the terrace door way and injured my foot.

  No support, sent a lady that seemed to be a maid to tackle all these issues but she couldn't do anything and just apologized. Asked for another villa and didn't get any reply. Host said they would come but never did.
  
  Host made a point to call us to say they don't want any noise but there was a very loud party next door until late at night with very loud live music.
