My room had this perfect balance of Moroccan character and actual functionality — beautiful tadelakt walls, traditional textiles, but also reliable wifi and proper air conditioning (trust me, you’ll appreciate this). I noticed they’ve really thought about the details — like having enough outlets for your devices and blackout curtains that actually work. The restaurant here is where Villa Chez Marie really shines — Marie sources ingredients locally and the tagines are some of the best I’ve had in Morocco (and I’ve had quite a few). What I really appreciated is how they can arrange cooking classes if you’re interested — it’s not pushy or touristy, just a genuine way to learn about Moroccan cuisine if that’s your thing.
