You know what really struck me about Villa Dar Yas? It’s that perfect sweet spot where you get the authentic Moroccan villa experience without sacrificing any of the comforts you actually want when you’re on vacation. I’ll be honest, when I first saw that ridiculously long name, I thought it was trying too hard – but honestly, they’re not overselling anything. The place really does deliver on all those promises.

The location on Route d’Ourika is actually brilliant once you understand Marrakech a bit. Yeah, it’s about 20 minutes from the medina chaos (which can feel like forever in Marrakech traffic, but trust me, you’ll appreciate the separation), but you’re positioned perfectly for exploring the Ourika Valley if you want to escape the city heat. The Residence Akenza 2 area is one of those newer developments that feels properly residential – you’ll hear the call to prayer in the distance, but you’re not dealing with the constant scooter symphony of the old city. The villa itself sits behind proper gates, which I mean, gives you that privacy you’re craving after a day of haggling in the souks.

What actually impressed me most was how they’ve thought about the details that matter when you’re traveling with a group or family. The heated pool isn’t huge, but it’s perfectly sized and actually warm (you’d be surprised how many places skimp on this). The kitchen setup is legit – I’m talking proper appliances, not the sad little hotplate situation you sometimes get. Having a driver available is honestly a game-changer in Marrakech, especially if you want to explore beyond the city without the stress of navigating those roundabouts yourself. And look, I was skeptical about the air hockey and ping-pong tables, but after a few days of intense sightseeing, there’s something really nice about just hanging out at the villa with some friendly competition.

The whole place has this relaxed, lived-in feel that’s way more comfortable than those sterile luxury hotels in Gueliz. You can actually spread out here, leave your stuff around, use the common areas like you’re staying with friends who happen to have excellent taste in Moroccan decor. The air conditioning works properly (crucial during summer months), and the Wi-Fi is solid throughout the property. I mean, the 9.8 rating isn’t just for show – people genuinely love staying here because it feels like you’re getting insider access to how Moroccans actually live well, just with better amenities than most of us have at home. It’s that rare place where the photos don’t oversell the reality, and you’ll probably find yourself planning your next Marrakech trip before you’ve even left.

  L’hôte a su être disponible à n’importe quel heure afin de nous aidez avec un accueil chaleureux une visite complète de la villa à disposition lit poussette pour bébé machine à lave 3salle de bain avec si vous le souhaitez piscine chauffe superbe endroit sécurisé je recommande énormément merci à bientôt ☺️

  La villa est conforme aux photos. Très agréable, spacieuse, propre et confortable. La piscine a été chauffée à 30 degrés et la baignade était top,malgré un temps capricieux.
  Ouardia était très serviable et souriante. Et enfin l’hôte Daryl était au petit soins et était d’une grande aide.
  Merci pour ce séjour en famille.
