It’s actually tucked away in this quiet residential area of Golf City Prestigia that most tourists never stumble across – I mean, you’re literally staying in villa number 43 on a street called Loubane, which feels more like borrowing a friend’s vacation home than checking into a hotel. The whole setup is honestly refreshing if you’re tired of those massive resort complexes where you feel like cattle being herded around.

The location is sort of brilliant, actually. You’re close enough to Marrakech that you can easily get to the medina (maybe 15-20 minutes depending on traffic), but far enough out that you escape all that intensity when you need to decompress. I spent a morning just walking around the Golf City area, and it’s got this almost surreal quality – perfectly manicured streets, modern villas, and barely any noise except for the occasional call to prayer drifting over from the nearby neighborhoods. The golf course itself is right there, obviously, and even if you don’t play, there’s something oddly soothing about watching people tee off while you’re having your morning coffee.

What really won me over, though, was how the staff treated the place like it was their own home – which, honestly, it kind of feels like. Check-in was this relaxed affair where they actually asked about my flight and seemed to care about the answer, not just going through the motions. The villa itself has that solid, well-maintained feel that you get when someone’s actually paying attention to details. I’m talking about things like decent water pressure (crucial after a day wandering around dusty Marrakech), blackout curtains that actually work, and Wi-Fi that doesn’t make you want to throw your laptop out the window. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything just works the way it should. Parking was never an issue, which is honestly a luxury in Morocco, and the whole area felt safe for evening walks. If you’re looking for that authentic riad experience in the heart of the medina, this isn’t it – but if you want a genuine break from the beautiful chaos of Marrakech while still being connected to it, Villa Golf Prestigia gets it right.

  the host was amazing! greeted us with tea and a full tour of the villa, and had the pool heated and waiting for us. we were only here for about 8 hours because of an early morning flight but host was very accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process! rooms were HUGE and bathrooms were really really nice.

  If we could rate this villa 12 out of 10 we would. It EXCEEDED our expectations by far. The villa is huge and is absolutely immaculate. Not only is it spotless, but everything is in excellent condition and excellent working order. The pool is heated and an absolute dream. Heating and air con in every room. Hosts provide towels and additional bedding, all of the best quality. The villa is so secure and the resort is guarded 24 hours a day. Our host, Hamza couldn’t have been more welcoming and kind. Nothing was too much trouble and he met us at the villa on arrival to show us around and give us the keys. The location of the villa is beautiful, it literally backs onto the golf course which is stunning. A 3 minute stroll across the golf course and you have the Montgomery Club House which serves delicious food, the burgers are excellent, portion sizes generous and prices are excellent value for money. You can spend hours eating and drinking and enjoying the peaceful location. It also has a cash machine which is very useful. The villa is approx 15 min drive from the Medina and souks, or Gueliez. If you go on any trips, they will pick you up from the door of the villa. A taxi to any of the main places of interest (and to/from Marrakesh airport) will cost you around 150 dirhams. If you decide to drive, good luck! It seems there are no rules on the road!! We are already planning our return trip in October and will be staying at the villa again. It really did offer the perfect base for our long weekend in Marrakesh. Thank you so much Hamza, your kindness and organisation made our holiday all the better. If you stay at this villa, you will NOT be disappointed. And be sure to try the quad biking and the camel ride and sunset dinner and show. They were brilliant experiences that offered excellent value for money.
