The whole setup feels like someone’s wealthy Moroccan friend just handed you the keys to their family retreat. I mean, it’s got that lived-in luxury vibe rather than the sterile perfection of some resort hotels. The pool area is where you’ll spend most of your time — it’s genuinely private, not just “private” in the way hotels sometimes claim when there’s a hedge between you and the next balcony. The golf course view is actually stunning; I watched golfers making their way around the course in the early morning mist, and it gave the whole scene this dreamy, almost cinematic quality. The Atlas Mountains provide this incredible backdrop that changes color throughout the day — sort of dusty rose at sunrise, stark and dramatic at midday, then purple-shadowed at sunset.

What really works about this place is its location on the outskirts of Marrakech proper. You’re far enough out to feel like you’re in a different world (the air is cleaner, the pace is slower), but close enough that a taxi ride to the medina or Jemaa el-Fnaa only takes about 20 minutes. The Route d’Ourika is actually the road that leads to the Ourika Valley, so you’re perfectly positioned if you want to do day trips to the Berber villages or those waterfalls everyone talks about. Parking is no issue — there’s space right at the villa, which honestly is a blessing if you’ve ever tried to navigate a rental car through Marrakech’s old city. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that resort rigmarole. The staff clearly knows the area well and gave me some solid recommendations for local restaurants that weren’t just tourist traps. That 9.1 rating makes complete sense once you’re there — it’s the kind of place where the little details are right. The pool temperature is perfect, the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the property, and the kitchen is equipped well enough that you could cook if you wanted to (though with Marrakech’s food scene, why would you?). It strikes that sweet spot between authentic Moroccan architecture and modern comfort that so many places try for but don’t quite nail.

  It was exactly as shown in the photos, and what I found most important was that the hygiene was excellent. The security guards were very friendly people. After checking out, I realized I had forgotten something, and it was no problem at all to go back and retrieve it. In short, if you are looking for a nice villa, look no further!
