The moment you step through that heavy wooden door on Lot Zhor Targa, you’re suddenly in this completely different world – I mean, the street’s pretty typical for that part of Marrakech, nothing fancy, but inside it’s like someone waved a magic wand. The whole riad wraps around this gorgeous central courtyard with a pool that’s honestly the perfect size – not some tiny plunge pool that’s all for show, but actually big enough to do a few laps if you’re into that sort of thing. The spa part isn’t just a marketing gimmick either; they’ve got this traditional hammam that locals actually use, which tells you something right there.

What really gets me is how they’ve managed to keep the authentic Moroccan vibe without making it feel like a theme park. The tilework is incredible – and I’m talking about the kind of craftsmanship you see in the old riads in the medina, not the mass-produced stuff. The rooms have these thick walls that actually keep things cool during those brutal afternoon hours (and trust me, you’ll appreciate that in summer), plus the air conditioning works properly, which isn’t always a given in Marrakech. The location’s pretty smart too – you’re in Targa, so you’re close enough to walk to the medina if you’re feeling adventurous, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the constant noise and chaos. I actually slept really well there, which is saying something because I’m usually pretty sensitive to street sounds.

The staff genuinely seems to care about what they’re doing, and they know the area well enough to give you proper recommendations – not just the tourist traps everyone sends you to. They pointed me toward this little café about ten minutes away that I never would have found on my own, and honestly, it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. The breakfast spread is solid too, with actual fresh orange juice (not from a carton) and proper Moroccan pastries alongside the usual international stuff. Look, it’s not perfect – the WiFi can be spotty in some rooms, and the hot water takes a minute to kick in – but for a 4-star place with an 8.4 rating, it delivers on what matters most. If you’re looking for that authentic riad experience with modern comfort and a pool you’ll actually want to use, this place hits the sweet spot without completely breaking the bank.

  Aziz nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de bienveillance !!!! Il est juste adorable et très professionnel . J’espère qu’il est payé à sa juste valeur car il s’occupe de tellement de choses en même temps .

  What could be improved: Trop loin de Marakech, voiture de location indispensable. Rien à proximité de la villa, pas de restaurant et pas de magasin si vous n'avez pas de voiture. Comptez 10 a 15 euros pour descendre en taxi à Marakech et 30 pour le transfert à l'aeroport. Je trouve que les prestations de la villa sont trop chères, massages et hammam et repas versus les prix pratiqués à Marakech.

  The best thing in this place was non other then Host guy Aziz….what a gentleman and such a nice person. everything was also great….nice and peacefull stay….felt relaxed there….message for management.. Aziz and breakfast lady deserve some payrise..dont let them go anywhere. all staff are friendly…which is great….we had accident prior to coming to the villa and person who looks after booking kept in contact with us and made sure we are OK throughout. leisure facilities were brilliant. good value of money….we made some Pakistani tea and I enjoyed sharing with other residents and staff. felt like home ☺️
  
  What could be improved: the only thing I would say to add is good brand of Shampoo and conditioning stuff….nothing else I disliked…
