villa saada Overview
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Villa Saada on the Route d’Ourika – honestly, it looked almost too understated from the road. But stepping through those doors was like discovering a secret that locals have been keeping to themselves. The whole place has this effortless elegance that feels authentically Moroccan without trying too hard, if that makes sense. I mean, you’re about twenty minutes from the chaos of Jemaa el-Fnaa, but it might as well be a different world out here.
The Route d’Ourika is actually perfect positioning – most tourists stick to the medina hotels and miss this entirely. You’re literally on the doorstep of the Ourika Valley (hence the name), which means you can be hiking in the Atlas foothills or visiting Berber villages within thirty minutes. The staff here actually knows the good guides, not just the ones who pay commissions, and they’ll set you up with proper hiking boots if you need them. What really got me though was how they handle the little things – like how they’ll arrange your taxi back to the airport but also slip you the driver’s number in case you want to explore on your own timeline. The parking situation is refreshingly stress-free too, which anyone who’s tried to navigate a car through Marrakech will appreciate.
The rooms themselves have this wonderful weight to them – thick walls that keep things cool during the day and actually quiet at night. You can hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque in the morning, but it’s distant and honestly quite beautiful rather than jarring. I loved how they’ve mixed traditional tadelakt plasterwork with modern touches that don’t feel forced – the bathrooms are particularly well done, with rainfall showers that actually have decent pressure. The pool area is where you’ll probably spend your afternoons, especially if you’re visiting in shoulder season when the weather’s perfect but not scorching. It’s got that sheltered feeling where you can read a book without feeling like you’re on display, and the evening light hits the palm trees just right around sunset. The 8.8 rating makes complete sense when you factor in the value – you’re getting four-star quality without the inflated medina prices, plus the kind of personalized service that bigger hotels just can’t match. They remember your coffee preferences by day two, and the concierge genuinely cares about making your trip work rather than just checking boxes.

The stay was spacious and big enough for the family. The host was waiting at the property to welcome us. Tima's help and instructions were very much helpful to visit the places around. The dinner (on an additional cost) was very delicious.
A nice villa – Siari from United Kingdom – 12 January 2025 (9/10)
We loved our stay, it was clam and serene. The villa is serronded by ancient olive trees that reach the 3 floor of the house. The view on the roof terrace is breathtaking. The swimming pool wasn't too deep, the deepest was 1m60, which is good for children.
What could be improved: The mattress in both bedrooms with single beds needs a bit of attention.Thank you Fati for taking such good care of us! It was just amazing. The house is located in a traditional villa where y – Cíntia from Portugal – 13 July 2024 (10/10)
The house in all was just breathtaking
I would definitely book this villa again. – Hayley from United Kingdom – 12 March 2024 (10/10)
The property was very spacious and was absolutely perfect for our stay. It is situated in the poorer parts of Morocco and was just a 15 minute walk to the nearest town. Be aware that this property is not suitable for those with mobility problems. The roof terrace was large and spacious offering a place to cook and a sink. Beautiful area to get a tan. The master bedroom has a large balcony too. The pool wasn’t warm enough for the time of year we visited but it’s a beautiful garden and pool area.
The host was extremely friendly and helpful. She offered to help with taxis and excursions.
What could be improved: The property gets cold at night although we did stay in February/March so would be very nice in the hotter months to keep you cool.Live the Moroccan way 👌 – Yasar from United Kingdom – 21 December 2023 (10/10)
I had a great time staying at Villa Saada. Fantastic position, with breathtaking views all around the property. Real Moroccan encounter. Every bedroom was immaculate. The hosts were incredibly kind. I had the opportunity to talk to some very pleasant locals.
Village and traditional – Hasan from United Kingdom – 6 November 2023 (10/10)
Peaceful and quiet location. Property was very big. The villa was very traditional clean and tidy which we loved. Excellent wifi. Clean swimming pool.
Helpful owner kept checking on us if we were alright or we need anything. Which was very nice of them
If you want a proper feel of rural Marrakesh. This is the place. Entrance was a tad weird but that was part of the whole experience
Loved the traditional look and feel of it. Surely would visit again
Very pleasant experience. Thanks for having us.Amazing experience at the villa and we will definitely return again. – Ashwin from United Kingdom – 2 March 2023 (10/10)
The hosts were very kind and lovely. They cooked breakfast at the villa each day and she also arranged sightseeing tours and excursions. The villa was extremely homely and comfortable.
What could be improved: The villa is meant for Morocco's hot weather, so it felt a bit chilly in the nights when we went there in February 2023. They could provide a few more heaters during winter.I had an amazing time at villa saada, the host was very helpful. Will definitely come back. – Khiren from United Kingdom – 7 February 2023 (9/10)
The breakfast was delicious, the villa was beautifully designed and the host was very welcoming. 9/10
What could be improved: Could have been closer to the city however the amount of space makes up for it. The host was also able to have a car rental drop a car to the villa for me which made my stay so much more comfortable and manageable with travelling around Morocco.
