Villa Safa Marrakech 3ch private Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Villa Safa on Route de Fès, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The Route de Fès can be pretty hectic during the day (it’s one of the main arteries heading toward the airport and new city), but once you turn into the villa’s entrance, it’s like stepping into a completely different world. The three-bedroom setup is actually perfect if you’re traveling with family or a group of friends who want that private villa experience without being stuck way out in the palmerie where you need a taxi for everything.
What really got me was how they’ve managed to nail that authentic Moroccan feel without making it feel like a museum. The architecture has those classic touches – you know, the carved plasterwork and traditional tiles – but everything feels lived-in and comfortable rather than stuffy. The private pool area is honestly where you’ll probably spend most of your time, especially if you’re there during the warmer months. It’s tucked away nicely so you get privacy, but you can still hear the gentle sounds of the neighborhood, which I actually found pretty soothing. The three bedrooms are generous (way more space than your typical riad rooms in the medina), and each has its own character. Air conditioning works well too, which… trust me, you’ll appreciate that in summer.
Location-wise, this is sort of the sweet spot people don’t always think about. You’re close enough to Gueliz that you can walk to decent restaurants and cafes – there’s a great little spot called Café Clock nearby that locals actually go to – but you’re also just a quick 15-minute drive from Jemaa el-Fnaa if you want to dive into the medina chaos. The host was incredibly helpful with recommendations, and they actually knew the area well enough to suggest things beyond the typical tourist spots. Parking is right there, which is honestly a huge relief if you’re planning to rent a car and explore the Atlas Mountains (which you absolutely should). The only minor thing I’d mention is that since it’s on Route de Fès, you do get some traffic noise during peak hours, but it dies down significantly in the evenings and wasn’t really an issue. For what you get – the space, the privacy, the location, and honestly the price point compared to some of the fancier resort options – this place delivers exactly what it promises. It’s that perfect middle ground between having your own Moroccan retreat and still being connected to what makes Marrakech special.
