It’s tucked away on Rue Lalla Haya in a way that feels deliberately hidden – like someone wanted to create a proper retreat without totally isolating you from Marrakech’s energy. I mean, you’re still close enough to hear the evening call to prayer drift over the neighborhood, but far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can actually think straight. The location honestly makes perfect sense once you get your bearings – it’s in that sweet spot where you feel like you’re staying in an actual Moroccan neighborhood instead of some sterile hotel zone.

The place itself has this lived-in elegance that’s hard to fake. Sure, it’s got four stars and feels like it, but there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about it. The staff genuinely seems to know the city (not just the tourist version), and they’ll steer you toward that little café around the corner that serves proper mint tea, or tell you which nights the local hammam is less crowded. The rooms are comfortable without being flashy – think well-chosen textiles and decent air conditioning that actually works, which honestly matters more than you’d think in Marrakech’s heat. I noticed the courtyard gets this amazing light in the late afternoon, and it’s where people tend to gather with their phones trying to catch up on messages before dinner.

What really sets Villa Targa apart is how it handles that balance between authentic Morocco and modern comfort. The 7.7 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s solidly good at what it does. The neighborhood comes alive in the evenings with families out for walks and kids playing football in the wider streets, which gives you a genuine sense of local life without feeling intrusive. Check-in was smooth (they actually had our reservation ready, which isn’t always a given), and the Wi-Fi reaches most corners of the property. There’s enough street parking if you’re brave enough to rent a car, though honestly, you probably won’t need one from this location. It’s the kind of place where you’ll end up chatting with other travelers over breakfast about which riads are worth visiting and whether that spice vendor near the main square is actually giving fair prices – you know, the real stuff that makes a trip memorable.

  Very spacious, well equipped for the most part. The roof terrace and garden was very nice as well as the pool. Host was very helpful and quick in sorting out any issues.
  
  Easy to get to centre via taxi's and theres a nice cafe as well as a shop right at the end of the road. Overall very enjoyable and relaxing stay.
  
  What could be improved: Small improvements like having a bin in every room instead of just the kitchen. Also a mini fridge in the living area would be nice

  The house is large with room for all the family, The roof terrace is nice and cool in the evening.
  The Kitchen is basic and in the basement, we didn't use it as there is a small are for tea / coffee in the main living area.
  There is a great restaurant / bakery meters away at the end of the road

  Peaceful and quiet location. Property was very big which was a pleasant surprise. Found the villa to be very clean and tidy with everything available. Excellent wifi. Clean swimming pool.
  
  Extremely helpful staff. Had a problem with the TV late evening, they sent a technician down to resolve the issue. They could have easily said that we will resolve it in the morning which would have been acceptable as well.

  When we got to the villa, we had a warm welcome from the staff and owner of the villa. The manager, Awane, was fantastic and was always available to help and respond to questions. Overall, we had an excellent experience and will be staying here next time we go to Morocco!

  We had a fantastic time at Villa Targa. The hosts are amazing, friendly, and accommodating. The house is big and comfortable and has everything you need. The location is great! you have lots of shops nearby, a small mall just 2 min drive, and 1 min walk from a great restaurant that was super cheap, has fresh food and is tasty. All in all, I highly recommend it!
