Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Marrakech hotels, and Vue Montagnes honestly caught me off guard – in the best way possible. When you first pull up to Prestigia golf city, you’re thinking “okay, this is pretty swanky,” but then you get to the SAPHIR entrance and realize you’re actually stepping into something special. The whole complex has this modern Moroccan vibe that doesn’t feel forced, you know? It’s not trying too hard to be authentic while also not completely abandoning what makes Marrakech magical.

The apartment itself – and yeah, it’s more like a luxury apartment than a traditional hotel room – sits in building 278, and I mean, the views are ridiculous. You’ve got the Atlas Mountains doing their thing in the distance, the golf course sprawling out below (which is surprisingly green even in the drier months), and this gorgeous pool area that actually stays pretty peaceful even when things get busy. What really got me was how quiet it is at night. You’re close enough to the medina that you can easily get there – maybe 15 minutes by taxi – but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of scooters and street vendors. The soundproofing is solid too, which honestly matters more than you’d think.

The space feels genuinely luxurious without being stuffy about it. The kitchen is actually functional if you want to grab groceries from the Carrefour nearby (pro tip: it’s way cheaper than eating out every meal), and the living area is set up so you can actually relax, not just sleep and leave. Check-in was smooth – the property manager met us right at the apartment, walked us through everything, and gave us some solid local recommendations that weren’t just the usual tourist traps. Parking’s included in the complex, which is huge because trying to park anywhere near the medina is basically a nightmare. The pool area gets busy around 11 AM when families start showing up, but early morning and late afternoon? It’s perfect. The water’s heated, which you’ll appreciate if you’re visiting in winter – Marrakech can get surprisingly chilly in the evenings.

What really sells this place is the attention to detail. The wifi actually works everywhere (miracle), there’s proper air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a freight train, and the beds are legitimately comfortable. I’ve stayed at some “luxury” places in Morocco where the mattress feels like a medieval torture device, so this was refreshing. The golf course access is legit if you’re into that – decent layout, well-maintained greens, and the staff there knows their stuff. Even if you’re not a golfer, the whole area is perfect for morning walks or just sitting with coffee and watching the mountains change color as the sun comes up. That 9.5 rating? Yeah, it’s earned.
