I mean, Boulevard Mohamed VI isn’t exactly the tourist trail – it’s where actual Marrakchis live and work – but that’s honestly what made staying here feel so authentic.

The apartment itself is genuinely lovely, and I’m not just saying that because of the 9/10 rating (though yeah, that checks out). The terrace is probably the star of the show here – you can actually see the Atlas Mountains on clear days, which happens more often than you’d think. The pool situation is interesting too; it’s not huge, but it’s pristine and rarely crowded since you’re sharing it with residents rather than tour groups. I spent most mornings out there with my coffee, watching the city wake up below. The WiFi works everywhere, even poolside, which honestly saved me when I needed to sort out some work stuff. There’s something really satisfying about taking a video call while palm trees sway in the background – my colleagues were definitely jealous.

What I really appreciated was how the owner clearly knows the area. They left this little notebook with actual useful information, not just tourist trap recommendations. Like, there’s a hammam about ten minutes away that locals use – way better than the overpriced hotel versions in the medina. And the Friday market on Avenue Hassan II? Absolute gold mine for spices and textiles, plus you can walk there in about fifteen minutes. The location puts you close enough to the action but far enough that you’re not dealing with scooter horns at 6 AM. Though honestly, even when it does get a bit noisy during the day, the apartment’s well-insulated. I’m a light sleeper and had no issues. Check-in was smooth too – the property manager met me right at the building entrance, which was clutch since finding apartment numbers in Marrakech can be… an adventure. There’s decent parking nearby, though I’d recommend just using the red taxis or Careem if you’re not comfortable driving here. The building itself has this modern feel that’s refreshing after spending days in the traditional riads, much as I love those too. You get the best of both worlds – contemporary comfort with that unmistakable Marrakech energy just outside your door.
