Look, I’ll be straight with you about Hotel Zina – it’s one of those places that actually gets what travelers want without trying too hard to impress you. The location in Lotissement Adrrar is honestly perfect if you know Marrakech at all. You’re far enough from the madness of Jemaa el-Fnaa to sleep properly (trust me, the drum circles go until 2 AM there), but close enough that a petit taxi won’t cost you a fortune when you want to dive into the medina chaos.

The building itself has this understated thing going on – it’s not trying to be a riad with all the traditional fanfare, which I actually appreciate. Sometimes you just want a proper shower and reliable wifi, you know? The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully modern. The AC works (crucial in summer), the beds are actually comfortable, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. What struck me most was how quiet it gets at night – the neighborhood has this residential feel where you’ll hear the call to prayer from nearby mosques but not much traffic noise. The staff seems to genuinely care about getting things right, which shows in little details like remembering your coffee preferences and actually being helpful with directions instead of just nodding politely.

Here’s what I really love though – the breakfast area opens onto this terrace where you can see the Atlas Mountains on clear mornings, and honestly, that view with mint tea is worth the stay alone. The neighborhood itself is interesting too; there’s a great little bakery about a five-minute walk away where locals queue up for fresh bread (the kind of place you’d never find without staying around here), and you’re close enough to Avenue Mohammed VI that getting around the city is pretty straightforward. I mean, it’s not the fanciest hotel in Marrakech, but it has this authentic feel that the big resort places completely miss. The pool area is small but perfectly adequate when you need to cool off after wandering around the souks all day, and the whole place just feels… well, comfortable. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re trying to figure out a city as overwhelming as Marrakech. The 8.7 rating makes sense to me – it’s the kind of place where everything works like it should, the price feels fair, and you’d definitely stay again.

  Lovely apartment with nice terrace. Friendly owner ,everything went smoothly with the booking and our staying there. 5 min walk to shops 20 min walk to Carrefour Targa overall good location.

  L'appartement Zina est magnifique, très spacieux. Situé au rez-de-chaussée, il offre un petit jardin avec une splendide terrasse. La literie et les équipements sont parfaits. Il ne manque rien. Enfin, notre hôte est très sympathique et se coupe en 4 pour résoudre les petits problèmes du quotidien. Je reviendrai.

  What could be improved: It was hard to communicate from the start. When we arrived at the venue no one was answering the phone or massages. The host was not speaking any English or French. The location is a bit scratchy. You do not want to walk around at night. Also the “guardian” of the parking spots was a bit rude and it was hard to communicate since also he did not speak English or French.

  The apartment was as shown in the pictures. Had all whats needed for a successful family stay. Big thanks to the landlord for his availability, we all loved the warm and welcoming vibe. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

  on a passé un agréable séjour l'appartement était très propre calme et spacieuse, les lits était confortable, on a adoré la grande terrasse avec un petit espace vert.
