Riad Mabrouk Overview
First Impressions
Walking through the narrow alleyways of Marrakech‘s medina to find Riad Mabrouk honestly feels like you’re being led into a secret. The traditional wooden door opens to reveal one of those classic Moroccan courtyards that makes you stop and just breathe for a moment. You know what I mean — the kind of space where the chaos of the souks suddenly feels miles away, even though you’re literally in the heart of everything. The riad has that authentic feel that some of the more touristy places have lost, and you can tell right away that this isn’t trying to be something it’s not.
Location & Neighborhood
The location is actually incredible — I mean, couples rate it 9.5 out of 10, which tells you something. You’re genuinely in the real medina here, not on some sanitized edge where tour buses drop people off. From Riad Mabrouk, you can walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa in about five minutes, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by the authentic daily life of the old city. The spice merchants, the tiny cafes where locals actually drink their morning coffee, the workshops where craftsmen are hammering away at metalwork — it’s all right there. Sure, it means navigating some narrow streets, but that’s exactly what makes staying here special.
The Rooms & Atmosphere
The rooms have that traditional Moroccan style without feeling like a theme park version of it. Think carved plaster walls, rich textiles, and those beautiful geometric patterns that somehow never get old. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to keep the authentic architecture while making sure everything actually works — the plumbing, the air conditioning when you need it, that sort of thing. The courtyard becomes this lovely gathering space in the evenings, and there’s something really peaceful about sitting there after a day of exploring the medina’s intensity.
Breakfast & Daily Rhythms
Breakfast here is a proper spread — they do both continental and buffet style, which means you can go light with pastries and coffee or load up on local specialties before heading out. I actually loved starting the morning in that central courtyard, planning the day while listening to the city wake up around you. The staff knows the medina inside and out, so they’re genuinely helpful when you’re trying to figure out which hammam to visit or how to find that leather workshop someone told you about. They’re not just giving you the standard tourist recommendations either.
Why Guests Love It
What makes Riad Mabrouk work is that balance between authenticity and comfort that’s honestly pretty hard to find. You’re staying in a real riad, in the real medina, but you’re not roughing it or dealing with major inconveniences. The fact that couples consistently rave about the location tells you everything — this is the kind of place where you can duck back for a midday rest, then head out for evening exploration without feeling like you’re missing anything. It’s Marrakech as it’s meant to be experienced, just with a comfortable bed to come home to.

Reviews of Riad Mabrouk
Extraordinary and outstanding services at a very centrally located affordable hotel in Marrakech – Sonny from United Kingdom – 6 April 2025 (9/10)
The staff at the reception were extremely helpful and friendly. I was very well taken care of. A special shout out to Chaima who made sure my stay at the hotel was extremely comfortable and enjoyable. All in all I couldn’t have made a better choice of accommodation in Marrakech all thanks to the staff at the reception, bar and restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone for a great holiday in Marrakech.
Very good – Yazmeen from United Kingdom – 15 February 2025 (8/10)
The new part of the hotel was really nice and clean.
The restaurant had amazing food and entertainment was amazing.
Khadija the breakfast manager was very welcoming with a great smile and very attentive. Checking our food was satisfactory and always came over to top up our drinks.
What could be improved: Breakfast could have had cereal as an option, which we mentioned and they were looking into adding to the menu.
Possibly more seasonql fruit options as only orange was on the buffet tableOverall it’s a good place to stay. – Melissa from United States – 17 April 2024 (9/10)
It’s right in the main area, beds are comfortable, the staff is nice and helpful both in the hotel and the restaurant. The food at the restaurant is good.
What could be improved: The water pressure in the shower was not good.Very comfortable! Recommended – Hussein from Netherlands – 13 April 2024 (8/10)
Best location if you are looking for a place to stay in Madine. Its located right at Jamaa el Fnaa. Very friendly staff. Helpful in every way. Chaima and Nouhaila try to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
What could be improved: Weak wifi, shower cabin was small and the showerhead could not really be aimed correctly.Superb – Amanda from United Kingdom – 15 February 2024 (9/10)
Perfect situation for the main square, jemaa el fnaa. Also minutes walk away from the main bus terminals and taxis. The Medina is very close and the riad is situated on a busy street full of shops and cafe/restaurants.
What could be improved: The noise continued until the early hours, accepted this is a main shopping area but the revving of motorbikes and loud shouting is a bit much. Ask for a room away from the main street if you have trouble sleepingOverall, truly enjoyed our stay at the Riad and will surely visit again in our next trip to Morocco. – Karima from Canada – 20 January 2024 (9/10)
The location was perfect very close to the Medina. Lovely Riad with great service and food and restaurant. Would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Marrakech!!
What could be improved: Hot water was an issue one day.
Breakfast Host was not so friendly and she wasn't able to assist with what we wanted.Amazing city – Natashia from United Kingdom – 15 January 2024 (8/10)
The staff and food was amazing *****
It was worth the stay. – Naima from Morocco – 12 May 2023 (8/10)
Friendly staff and excellent location.
Definitely stay there again.
Very peaceful stay.
What could be improved: Detachable shower head as it was fixed on the wall.Very good – Matthew from United Kingdom – 19 December 2022 (8/10)
The location is superb, and overall the staff were friendly. The rooms are very nice and clean.
What could be improved: The breakfast could be better. The first morning the waitress was too busy on her phone to let us know that we could order stuff from the kitchen too. I only figured this when I saw some residents after we'd finished doing so.nice decent stay in a modern riad – Steve from United Kingdom – 14 September 2022 (8/10)
great central location in the bustling Medina!
excellent shower with hot water!
clean!
What could be improved: internet was very bad for such a modern place, only got connection sometimes.
the hotel is on the main strip and is noisy every night until about 2am!(I was fine with it but it might be a problem for some)
staff were ok but not as friendly compared to other riads I stayed at.
